About Us

Gary Cormier: President, Inventor, and Fitness Enthusiat

I've been an avid weight lifter for many years, and have exercised both at home and at fitness clubs. A few years back I was weightlifting on a bench at home alone. I know the dangers of bench pressing without a spotter, but I thought I knew my limits. Exhausted, and with a laden bar suspended above me, I suddenly realized I was in trouble. My body admitted defeat with that one last rep, and the weights came crashing down on my chest. Though injured, the results could have been much worse.

With someone spotting me, the accident could have been prevented. Having training equipment at home allows me to take advantage of any sporadic free time, and some days, I just enjoy having an alternative to the gym. But having a lifting buddy is so much safer, I learned. So what's a guy to do?

I realized that there was nothing on the market that helps prevent against these situations. A few years and multiple prototypes later, I'm happy to introduce the patented Weight Spotter, the only weight bench that truly offers you the best of both worlds.

The Feeling of Free Weight Without the Fear of Failure

With the Weight Spotter’s patented safety mechanism, you can lift at home, and even alone, without the worry of a potentially dangerous and crushing injury. Push yourself to be your best, and never fear failure again.

Lets face it. A lifting assistant, or spotter, isn't always available or isn't always paying strict attention. Accidents and injuries can occur to the most conscientious athletes. It happens.

The Weight Spotter is always there to help minimize the risk of serious injury. When that “one last rep” turns out to be “one rep too many” and you can't get the bar back up on the rack, the Weight Spotter is there.
